Getting into the Blue.

I've always embraced my Blue eyes. If i didn't have blue eyes, i can honestly  say i would want blue eyes. Anyways, a lot of people are asking what makeup suits their eye colour, so i thought i would do a post of some pictures that have inspired me to do looks for blue eyes.

NOTE - not all of the pictures are actually girls with blue eyes, but the looks still looked great when i copied them on my eyes!

What makeup do you like to wear with your eye colour?

I'm Wired.

Shock. I want another lip product. Is it me, or are lip products expensive for what they are now? A high end lipstick/gloss is basically the same price as a high end foundation at most brands! Chanel Lip Gloss or MAC foundation? Tricky.

Anyway..NARS Hot Wired is just lovely. Lovely enought that it may be woth the price tag!

Swatch photos from Temptalia.

Mila, Mila, Mila....

Did anyone else in the UK catch Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake stop by "Alan Carr: Chatty Man" for a quick chat to premote Friends with Benefits? And out of the people who have responded with a yes, how many of you stared at Mila for 90% of the time.

To be honest, although her hair, makeup and dress were stunning..she had this really pretty delecate gold neclace on that i couldnt stop staring at!

Here are some similar ones that have caught my eye!

Dogeared. £41.50 Here.
This one also caught my eye!

Youtube makes me want to shop!

Hey everyone. I thought that i would share with you a few items i have been lusting over recently because some of my favourite beauty gurus have featured them in their videos! Enjoy :)

- NARS Laguna Bronzer
- By Terry Masacara
- By Terry Concealer
- MAC Brow Brush

- NARS Queen Eyeshadow Pencil

- Any Plum lipstick or Gloss!

- A Dupe for MAC "Hot House" (NARS hot wired or MAC pink poodle)
- Urban Decay Gunmetal

Anyways..on a Non-Youtube related note, here are some other things i have been lusting over!

Pandora Ring: (£100)

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh (prices vary!):

Also left on the MAC brush wishlist is: 130, 190, 239, 217 and a brow brush and lash brush :)

To Prime or not to prime?

I've been in need of a clear (well, you know what i mean. Skin coloured) eye primer for sometime now. I usually use MAC bare study as my go to eyeshadow base, and dont get me wrong i still love it, but the shimmer means i cant do matt looks or looks that involve browns as the shimmer shows through. However, no i face the daunting task of CHOOSING one!

The Choices:

NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Too Faced Shadow Insurance

I know there are others on the market, but these seem to be the "cult" eyeprimers that everyone talks about. I know MAC does painterly, but after trying bare study i kind of want to take this oppourtunity to try another brand!

So which one wins your vote?

MAC starter kit.

I got asked alot when i was on youtube, to do a "MAC starter kit" video. Now, realisticly...your never going to be able and buy ALL these products in one go..it would probably take you a few months or cause serious damage to your bank account. Therefore, if you are trying to start up a mac collection...i would advise you pick up these / aim to have them in your collection, as of the top of my head these are some of my favourites from MAC:

. Either Face and Body foundation or Studio Moisture Tint
. Select Cover Up concealer
. MSF Natural
. Trace gold and pink swoon blush
. Paint pot in bare study and blackground.
. Orb, Shroom, Mystery, Satin Taupe, antiqued, retrospeck and Naked Lunch eyeshadows
. Fluidline in Blacktrack
. 129 brush
. 217 and 224 brush
. Either Angel or See Sheer Lipstick (depending on your skintone!)

I was also asked the question alot of "Im going to MAC, and  i have "x amount of money" to spend. What should i get. Well...these are my reccomendations, with my favourite shades in brackets.

Around £20 - Pick two eyeshadows (satin taupe and shroom), or Pick a blush (Tenderling), or pick a lipstick and an eyeshadow (See Sheer and Satin Taupe).

Around £50 - 2 eyeshadows, A blush and a lipstick. (Satin Taupe and shroom, tenderling and see sheer).

If looking to spend £100 plus, then look at the list at the top of this post, of a full kit, and pick whatever takes your fancy really :)

These are a few other items that i wouldnt say are ESSENTIAL, but if you already have alot of the standard mac (eg. eyeshadows, blushes, foundations etc) you should check out.

- PIGMENTS. I wouldnt go near these if not skilled with makeup because they can be really messy. I would reccomend vanilla and chocolate brown.

- BRUSHES. They are really expensive at MAC, which is why i wouldnt include them in a list for someone at their FIRST time at MAC, because i think its best to use good products with drugstore brushes, than bad products with good brushes.

- STROBE CREAM AND LIQUID LOTION. Always makeup artists faves. I love them too..but i mean, theres not alot of point buying them if your just going to use them with a shitty foundation.

I also got asked alot about things i would NOT reccomend.

1) MASCARAS. They're not bad. Infact they're very good and i would happily use them..but so are drugstore ones. Go for rimmel sexy curves or Loreal Voluminous instead because they are a fraction of the price.

2) LIPGLASS. If your a really girly girl and really into your lipgloss then yeah i guess go for it. But in my opinion mac lipsticks are the best lip products MAC do. ALL the lipglasses are sticky, and also incredibly overpriced for lipgloss. Revlons are just as good if not better.

3) THE SKINCARE. I tried a few cleansers and exxfoliaters..and honestly, MAC should just stick to doing what they do best...makeup.

Hope this little guide helped some of you...or maybe gave you some inspiration to go shopping!
